Hey everyone! I am really depressed today, because I have to leave Alaska! I didn't even get to go skiing, which is a huge bummer. I really need to learn how so I can say that I can. You know, impress people. :)
So I had a pretty good Christmas. I found a different way to style my hair, and it's really cute. I got some pretty good presents, including: a 25$ iTunes card, some uber-cute clothes from PacSun, my favorite store, some really nice new lip gloss and mascara that I desperately need, and a thumb drive that I really need for school. Not a bad haul, if I do say so myself.
I have been talking to Rose via email, and she sounds pretty over the whole thing. Not sure about Alice, though. She can actually nurse a grudge for a long while contrary to popular belief (and gossip). I really should know. Not going to go there right now, I like to live in the now. Re-living things makes me really angry. Angry because I think of awesome comebacks that I should have said, but didn't think of 'til later. Ah well. Live and learn.
So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Vacation!
I am going to Alaska today! Sadly, I have to take the red eye. Yuck. At least I , unlike the rest of my family, can sleep on a plane. Everyone else just sits there in a zombified state while I snooze the flight away. :)
We are going to be there for X-mas and then leave on the 27th. I can't wait six more hours! After that, it's limitless sledding, skiing, hot chocolate, and Toaster Strudel. (We never have that at home, so our grandparents made it a tradition to always have some at their place.) No responsibilities for six whole days...ah. Paradise, even though it's not as warm as I envision paradise. Oh well.
On another note, Rose emailed me today saying that she's in California and that she can't wait to see us all again. I sent one back saying hello and Merry Christmas in California. Very neutral, and I didn't say anything about Alice. Once I leave, we'll be far away enough for me to not have to feel her evil presence. Actually, I don't feel her presence unless she's in the same room as I am. But still, halfway across the US seems good to me!
Sadly, I have homework over winter break. I have to memorize where the states are and their capitals. I know I did it back in middle school, but I forgot most of it. So sue me. My social studies teacher made us some flashcards that are "portable, easy to take on a road trip or plane, and fun!" Uh-huh. Yeah, memorization is really fun. I just can't get enough of it.
So have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

I am not a very interesting person, let me tell you. I don't really do much, save for the occasional friend fight and vacation. Actually, I am going to Alaska to visit family in just three more days, and am really excited about that. I love going up there and being able to sled 24/7 if I want to. I do ski a little bit, but the least coordinated person in the world can do better than I do. I actually had to take my skiis off and walk down the slope last time, it got so hard. This stunt earned me a few catcalls and snowballs from the lift. I quit not too long after that, and went home to have some hot chocolate.
Also, the big news of the week is that I am absolutely furious at one of my friends. Her name will not be dsiclosed here, so let's just call her Rose. Rose was being a jerk to one of my other friends. Let's call her Alice. So Alice is a very nice person, and would never do anything to insult another person or hurt their feelings. Rose decided to take advantage of this and began picking on Alice. Alice finally decided to go to the counselor, needed some moral support, and brought me with her. I was dragged into the whole mess very deeply when Rose got called to the counselors' office and we all sat down to have a "talk about our feelings" and "work things out like true friends". Uh-huh. Really gonna work, Ms. Breem. Thanks for solving all our problems in one of your genius master strokes. So anyways, we all went to a meeting room (except Ms. Breem, who left the room. Coward.) and had a chat about why Rose was hurting Alices' feelings. At one point, Rose turned to me and said, and I quote, "Isabella, how come you ended up here? I mean, I thought it was Alice who I was being mean to." You know it's serious when one of my group calls me Isabella. I hate my name, and they all know that. So I just kind of glowered at her and said "Alice needed help getting her feelings out there, and she thought I would be a good friend to bring along. And just so you know, I prefer to be called Izzy." "Sure. And I was just wondering. There's no need to get all defensive...Izzy." Rose responded with the same amount of contempt and thinly veiled anger. So when that torture was over, we all headed home and life went on. However, Rose refused to let it drop. She told all the rest of our group about the meeting, and soon everyone knew all the gory details. Then, Rose went on vacation to California and was gone for a week. That drove me up the walls, knowing that she was going to prolong the visit just to stay away from all of us.
When Rose came back, she found one heck of a ticked off Izzy Collins waiting for her. Alice was also angry, but she didn't hold a candle to my fury. Rose ignored me in the six classes we have together. I was fine with that, but she just was very pointed with it. I got so angry, I very nearly punched her. Thankfully I didn't, the last thing I need right now is a suspension. Then the next day, she was back to her normal, bubbly self. Acting as if nothing ever happened sure is the style lately these days at school. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard or seen in my life.
So now I'm just letting the feelings of resentment store up over winter break. Rose is going to have a truckload waiting for her when we go back to school in January. I'm going to talk about it with Alice when we go to a play together tonight. It's going to help seeing someone else who is involved even more than I am.
Have a Happy Holidays, everyone! Don't let a Rose ruin your social life!

So Bored...
I am sick with the swine flu. It is horrible, I have to stay home for the next like three days. I hate missing school. When I get back, I am like totally out of the loop. Right now, i would have been in fifth period art. It is one of my favorite classes, too.
I have been reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and drinking Gatorade for the past like three hours. I've already read it like twenty million times, but it is such an awesome book I can't help but read it again. I love the part when everyone is battling at Hogwarts, it's so cool. I also love how alot of people don't survive. My least favorite books are ones that turn out oh so sweet and happily ever after. I guess Twilight is a little bit like that, because not one person (or vampire, or werewolf, for that matter) gets killed off. I would have loved it if Jacob had died. It would have just been such a good plot twist. I mean, killing Edward or Bella would have made the whole saga a bust. But Jacob? Adds in a little bit of that "Life never ever turns out perfectly" theme. I do like how she can take her shield away now and expand it and everything. That's just so cool. I wish I had that... :)
So now I got all off topic. I can't even remember where I was going with this post. How frustrating is that? It's exactly like walking into a room and forgetting why you are in there. It never fails to annoy me, especially if I am in a hurry. Interestingly enough, it never seems to happen when my room is clean. If it's so dirty I can't even walk to my bed without a stubbed toe, forgetting why I ever went in there is a common occurence. Drives me nuts.
So now I ran out of things to say. Nothing comes to mind except for the fact that as soon as I publish this post, I will immediatley think of twenty more things I wanted to say. Also, I will be bored out of my mind as soon as I stop typing. You know, I think I'm going to go watch a movie. Maybe Finding Nemo or The Incredibles...I love Pixar. I actually have a Pixar lamp, which is quite cool, even though it's a bit too bright to look at first thing in the morning. Now I am really out of things to say. So Happy Holidays!

3-My name is Isabella Collins, but I prefer to be called Izzy.
4-I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Twilight series.
5-I have a group of friends at school, and we call ourselves the Nerd Herd.
6-I have a major crush on Taylor Lautner. (Who doesn't?)
7-My room is tiny.
8-I live in Port Angeles, Washington
9-I love computers.
That's all! I know it's not very interesting, but it will get better after I know how blog better.
